one day.

one day, i'll miss the loud that exudes from my house.
one day, it'll be too quiet.
one day, we'll have to force them to hang out with us.
one day, they'll be too cool for their parents.
one day, we won't be buckling them into car seats.
one day, we'll be handing the car keys over to them.
one day, we'll be watching them graduate from high school, and i'll be wiping away the tears.
one day, they'll grow up.
one day, i'll look back and think "that went way too fast."
one day, i'll miss these days.

  14. I hear you....I try and remind myself of this everyday...amidst the screaming and fighting and constant cleaning and not sleeping through the night, it's REALLY easy to forget. But I refuse to forget. Because I don't want regrets...only gratitude. Thanks for the reminder today! marissa

  21. Hopefully we'll still be getting together for our gal's weekends and we can wipe each other's tears. I really should be cherishing the drama around here, rather than dreading it!

  24. So true. I live with a 16 year old stepson and have a 6 month old son of my own. Everyday. EVERYDAY ... I think one day my baby will be big and won't need me to cuddle him. It goes so fast. But is so worth it!!

  26. Oh, how true this is!!! My philosophy is enjoy every moment, even the bad and the ugly ones ( you know middle of the night sickies and feedings) because like you said there will come a day when these moments will end ~ new ones will take their place and all are so amazing :)
