our journey to elsa.

in light of how i've been feeling lately, i thought it would be a good time to finally make our "journey to elsa" video...a little moment of our time while waiting for her...and then after, when she's home.

it did my heart good to remember the pictures and moments of when we were so excited for her to come home.
enjoy.

  50. This is such a beautiful video! I know from your blog that you have been struggling lately, but these photos are such an inspiring illustration of what you have achieved through your adoption. It's clear that you have given Elsa a loving, happy home that she can grow in and be safe in. You have so much to be proud of, and I have every faith that you will come through this rough patch as well. You and your family never fail to inspire me. You are so blessed, and it's wonderful that you pass that along.

  52. OMG Just BEAUTIFUL....I cried from the moment this video started until the very end, Happy tears of course!
Such a loving family for Elsa to come into, and yes at times it must be very tough. BUT I am sure that the happiness in this family outweighs the sad times. And as your family continues to grow that love will grow as well.

  54. Such a beautiful video Emily. I'm sure it does all our hearts good to meander over all our positive memories with/about our little ones. (Especially when they're teenagers -- sometimes we, uh, I, need reminding then too.) V beautiful!!

  61. Emily, you and your family are nothing short of amazing. My husband grew up with 2 biological siblings and 2 younger adopted siblings from India. Recently while celebrating my in-laws turning 60, we all shared notes of appreciation about them. My husband's note thanked his parents for blessing their family with his adopted siblings because it opened up a whole new world for he and his biological siblings. Not only were they given the opportunity to love their younger brother and sister, but they were taught a greater appreciation about the rest of the world. You give Elsa an amazing family to be a part of, but you have also provided your other children with a world that they may have never known otherwise. I really admire you!

  71. Oh my goshhh! I LOVE this! I'm sorry that I stalk your blog... And instagram. I promise I'm not a creeper. Really.
This is so precious. I cried and had MAJOR chills when you first saw Elsa. Your reaction was absolutely beautiful. I could watch this a million times (BUT I won't because that WOULD be creeper-ish). God, can I pleeease grow up, get married, and adopt already?
