i didn't particularly want to get in any photos this week.
i've been feeling off, and a little insecure as of late.
and regardless of how i feel, i knew that my kids would appreciate a fun photo moment with mom.
so, we got the camera out and turned the self timer on...and then all the kids took turns using the camera.
we had a fun 15 minutes...and no bribery was involved!
my kids are awesome and fun.
and sometimes it takes me stepping outside of where i want to be, to realize that.
{olive was busy catching up on her beauty sleep}
your turn, lovelies!
here's the nitty gritty on embrace the camera:
1. take a picture of YOU with your kids, spouse, friends, etc. the point of embrace the camera is to get in front of the camera and to document a bit of yourself.
2. link up your POST, not your blog, that way we can see your embrace post.
3. link back to our blog by a text link or using our button in your post.
4. and lastly, have fun and visit each other!
leave each other lots of love---it's not easy to get in front of the camera---bravo to all of you who join us every week! your family will thank you for it one day :)

You're beautiful and look awesome. I'd never think that you just had a baby or even six kids for that matter. I especially love the picture of the three girls. It's an especially beautiful picture of Elisa.
ReplyDeleteYou can see your beauty inside and out in these photos. What a beautiful family, your house must be filled with so much love everyday
ReplyDeleteI've always thought you have the best smile EVER! Praying for a blanket of Self Love to fall over you. No room for insecurities in a woman as full of God as you are!
ReplyDeletehahahaha just read your FAQ page and saw that your kids love NACHO LIBRE. My husband put that on for our then 1.5 year old and she is now 3 and it is her fave. That along with the TV Series Flight of the Concords - so innapropriate but she loves the music :)
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing to overcome your insecurity and get in on these photos..and they are fab photos to have!! And there is no need for you to have any insecurity - you are one of those people who look great no matter what they wear, what shape they are, what faces they pull etc etc! Radiant! I haven't managed a photo with me in it for a while and sickness has plagued our house for what seems like weeks now, but you are so right about how impirtant it is, so i'm going to work on it for next week!!
ReplyDeleteIf you get a minute (ha ha!) can you just tell me how you get your black and white photos to come out such a nice "shade" of black and white - mine never look as 'light' as yours without losing a lot of definition of the things i'm capturing.x
DEFINITELY understand the insecure part. Not sure if yours stems from the same place as mine when I have an infant but either way it's not a fun feeling! Praying for encouragement and a quick passing of those thoughts :)
