caedmon's snaggletooth finally fell out.
which meant that i could finally take his 8 year old pictures.
my boy is ridiculously cute, but that tooth, hanging by a thread was not.
i didn't want to document nanny mcphee.
i like to take pictures of each of my kids, every year around their birthday.
here was caedmon's 6 year old pics and 7 year old pics.
it's fun to see how they grow.
he was not that into it...so i had to pull out my mom resources and make up a funny story...let's just say it involved daddy and poop in his pants.
hilarious in any 8 year old mind.
{that's my secret y'all...tell a funny story involving poop...it's sure to get them to have genuine smiles in any photos}
here he is in all his 8 year old gloriousness (and looking exactly like mr. anderson, i might add):

**********
i love these few that i snapped of caedmon and elsa.
he was telling the funny poop story to her.
precious.
they remind me of an old married couple.

Adorable. It's hard to get good pics of older-ish boys. I'll try a poop story next time :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! You are a talented photographer!
ReplyDeleteLove your pictures Emily! He is such a cutie!
ReplyDeletehe is DARLING. your photos are captivating, not just because they are good photography or because your kids are so durn cute, but because you seem to be able to capture the essence of their personalities and relationships.
ReplyDeleteHe is such a little cutie. I love little toothless smiles. My daughter recently lost her first two teeth, exciting! I love the second photo of him and his friend.

ReplyDeletei will keep the poop story suggestions in mind.. we have a few of those.
are caedmon and elsa close?
wow...you have an eight year old...doesn't that just seem so crazy?! my oldest will be five this summer and i am already feeling the shock of how fast time flies...have a great day!
ReplyDeleteHe is such a handsome little guy.....even with teeth missing. He sure does looks like his daddy. I had to laugh outloud about the poop. Why is that word so hilarious for kids. I worked in a toddler room where they were always saying it esp. at lunch. So I told them it as a bathroom word and they could say it there but no place else. One day I walked in and all these little two years old were saying POOP.......I looked at them and they told me that I said they could say poop in the bathroom. I had to turn away and laugh.
ReplyDeleteAlso like the comment about an old married couple......esp. with the missing teeth, hah.
Gosh! He is so cute! And yes, he does look just like his daddy! Great pictures!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my these are precious! The ones of Caedmon & Elsa made my heart swell!

ReplyDeleteSuch great pictures! I cannot believe how talented you are Mrs. Anderson!!!! Happy 8th birthday to your son and hope he has an epic year! Can't wait til our coffee date soon.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it that poop will win every time?
ReplyDeleteLove his outfit, love the shots, and love the ones with his sister. Beyond cute.
his outfit is the cutest thing ever :)
ReplyDeleteWith that college shirt its almost like you can catch a glimpse of when he is headed to college. Caedmon is going to be such a good soul, you can tell from his smile and just the way he tells his jokes (even if they are poop jokes) to his sister. Great pictures
ReplyDeleteit is grey and blah here today - and my mood kind of matches that. these pictures made me laugh out loud! thanks! I love the one where he is killing himself laughing over the poop story - going to have to use that myself I think! I LOVE the third one! That would be so awesome blown up really big! I wish i lived near you so you could take my family pictures! Coming to Canada anytime soon???!
ReplyDeleteI have seriously wondered for awhile how people get their kids to cooperate when taking pictures and you just opened up a door of possibilities for me. :) I don't know why I never thought of telling a poop story. Perfect.
ReplyDeleteAwesome photos, his energy is pouring through them. Just great, even if it did take a poop story to get the smiles :). I'd say well worth it!
ReplyDeleteI seriously love those pictures!! He is adorable and you did an amazing job!!! :))
ReplyDeleteCould he be any cuter in these pictures? I think not! You did a fantastic job at capturing his toothless smile.
ReplyDeletewill you take pictures of my children?
ReplyDeleteI love the moments you capture.
Actually, will you adopt me???
I kind of have a small obsession with your awesome family.
Please consider this.
I sleep through the night.
I am potty trained.
I get along well with other children.
And I bake.
You'll love me.
think about it.
that last picture is just so perfectly sweet! and your dude looks so cute without those front teeth!
ReplyDeleteI have to beg my little guy to look at the camera! He'll smile for me but he looks in random directions! I'll be trying the poop story! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThat's the most perfect, brilliant here-comes-the-tooth-fairy smile I've seen in a long time.
ReplyDeletei love the smile without the front teeth! these are some beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures ~ poop always seems to work with boys ~ and little sisters :) My 8 year old has a bad case of snaggle tooth right now. He won't touch that thing or let anyone else touch it ~ boo! Maybe I'll sneak into his room while he's sleeping and give it a few good wiggles ~ Ha!
ReplyDeleteThat toothless grin is SO adorable! It makes him look like a little old man! SO Sweet!
ReplyDeleteIn profile, I think he looks a lot like you!
