embrace the camera: 4/19/12

if you're new around these parts, every thursday i like to do a little something called "embrace the camera."
the point of this day is to get IN a picture---and not always the one behind the lens, capturing others.
at some point in our lives, we are going to look back and realize there are no pictures of us because we didn't feel that great about ourselves, or thought we always ruined the picture, or wanted to wait until we lost just a little bit more weight, or etc, etc, etc.
but the point is that our family (especially our children) are not going to care about those things.
they just want to see you.
to see you with them in a photo.

so, join us, would you?
capture memories that you are a part of.
you will be so glad you did.

this week is my new favorite picture of olive and i...the focus is a little off (i'd rather her be in focus than me) but still...it's so sweet.
(minus the roots i'm rocking---i really don't know what those are doing there because i'm totally a natural platinum blonde.  ahem)

i just love that girl to pieces.

if you're on instagram, you can embrace the camera on there too---hash tag it with #embracethecamera so we can all see!

your turn, lovelies!
here's the nitty gritty on embrace the camera:
1. take a picture of YOU with your kids, spouse, friends, etc. the point of embrace the camera is to get in front of the camera and to document a bit of yourself.
2. link up your POST, not your blog, that way we can see your embrace post.
3. link back to our blog by a text link or using our button in your post.
4. and lastly, have fun and visit each other!
leave each other lots of love---it's not easy to get in front of the camera---bravo to all of you who join us every week! your family will thank you for it one day :)
