this past weekend, someone gave me a great analogy of a brick wall.
this particular brick wall had openings all over it, and i was trying to shove bricks into this wall.
i see that brick wall as my family.
and those bricks that i'm trying to shove? they are parts of our life that don't seem to fit like i want them too.
she said that rather than making those bricks fit in the openings of the wall, we should instead tear down that wall, and rebuild, with all the bricks.
boom.
i need to stop making all of my kiddos fit, here and there, into what i deem as my perfect family.
but instead i need to allow their bricks to be a little different.
but combined into a great wall, all that different can make something great.

Yes! Yes! Yes!!!! Your kids will love you for it, your husband will love you for it...and you will love your life with your family more :)
