it's beginning to look a lot like...

every year, i have a very big goal.
get christmas cards out BEFORE christmas.
and every year, i fail.

this year, it has to happen.

i've got our pictures done:
and i picked out a card on minted.
and voila.
ordered and they are on their way.
(sign up at minted and you can get a $25 credit to use towards your holiday cards, if you haven't done them yet---or maybe memorial day cards if you're way late---i won't judge you)
AND, once you sign up, tell your friends to sign up and you can get more credit in your account.
  it's that easy.

now, i only have to address and mail 100+ of them before christmas.
i can still make my goal--maybe?
this is where i SUCK.  addressing and mailing cards.
please tell me you suck at this too?

speaking of christmas...it's beginning to look a lot like it around these parts:

our tiny destructor has found a new toy.
the christmas tree.
looks like the bottom half of the tree shall remain ornament-less this year.

have a great weekend y'all!

  2. I think we all suck at addressing and mailing Christmas cards. It is not the "fun" part, you know?
    Lovely picture, btw.=)

  3. Bring some of your cards to church on Sunday and I will help you! I already sent mine out...and yes I am a little embarrassed about that. :) tayloro84@yahoo.com

  4. Yes!!! Cards are such a 10 step process!!! I tried to quickly grab stamps at the post office this week which turned into 30 minutes of me and 3 kids waiting on their crashed computers to tell me if they did or did not charge me $90 twice or not...just wanted some holy family stamps. Not to entertain my kids at the counter for 30 min at lunch time. Ever grateful I typed labels a few years ago to print. Now if my friends would just stop moving.

  5. This is the first year my Fiance and I did Christmas cards. I have yet to address them, or buy stamps. Do you have stamps? If so, take comfort in the fact that you are ahead of me. If not, want me to send you some stamps? :)

  10. #1-You and I have very similar needlepoint stockings. There is no better stocking than a needlepoint one. ;) #2-I am currently looking at my stack of Christmas Cards; already printed, already with the return address. Now, will I do the part I hate and put the actual addresses on. This point remains to be seen. I will check back in. But, I am nervous about it because like you, I detest this part. I just had some really good pictures made though....gotta come through!

  11. As we were growing our brood (5) I ended up having to give up the whole Christmas card thing. It was just too much to accomplish. I do miss it though :/ Love your picutre!! Your mantle looks great...loving that blue bench <3

  12. still haven't done my Christmas (that always end up being new years) cards so I'm not judging. My secret to addressing? I print my addresses on the envelope. I have a file saved on my computer and every year I just change the fonts and colors to match the designs for that years' cards. The most personal? Nah. But it works.

  13. I think I'm going to buck tradition and do New Year's cards this year. I figure as long as they go out in January, we're good. ;)

    You have a beautiful family!

  14. My goal is to get them out before Christmas. Last year we found a company who will print them, address them, stamp them and even send them out for you if you want (we don't have them send them because we add a newsletter). But the addressing them is the best for me...it used to take me forever. Now we just insert newsletter and send out. And we got a 70% off coupon...75 Christmas cards for $32...that's with the stamp. Best Christmas deal ever!

  18. my Christmas tradition is to not even get close to sending cards.
to argue about it with my husband.
decide I do NOT want to send them.
    And then regret it.

Not the best tradition..but pretty consistent!

maybe you can just photoshop my family's faces over yours, and I can use that as my card????
