6 Years Home

6 Years Home

Ack!  So much has happened over the last few weeks (really last few months) and I feel way behind on blogging it all, so I'm just gonna go for it...even if the timeline of it doesn't make sense.

First up...I can't go another minute without talking about our sweet Elsa being home for 6 years.

6 YEARS!

I can still remember the tiny nugget that was so shy the first time she met us.  That quickly faded and she fit right in with our crew.  We were looking at old videos a few weeks ago - Elsa had only been home a few days and the kids were trying to teach her how to play the wii.  She was FIESTY.  They'd try to take the remote from her and she would yell "NO MINE".  We were all laughing so hard at her stubbornness, but sister knew what she wanted.  She wasn't about to let these weirdos take it from her.

Our family has been through so many ups and downs these last 6 years.  Elsa has been strong through it all.  And as you can see in these pictures, she is FLOURISHING.

She loves school, loves her friends, loves art, loves her dog...dare I say that she might even love *some* of her siblings?

We took our infamous "Elsa on my hip" photo - if you click over to my Instagram, you'll see this photo posted.  Click on it and then the #elsaonmyhip hashtag to see the past years photos.  She has grown like a weed!

It makes us laugh EVERY YEAR.  It just gets weirder and weirder to take a pic with her on my hip, but you just don't mess with tradition.  I'll still do this when I'm 80 - actually, she might have to put ME on her hip then ;)

Happy Gotcha Day Elsa!  We love you so!
